Why?
With the drum circle, we offer pupils and students the experience of playing and making music together, and with that, shared energy. Young people will pick up quite a few musical elements: rhythm, pulse, they will get to know different percussion instruments and experience group music-making. Teachers will thus be able to present the required musical material in a more engaging way. Rhythm is a human element and – DRUMMING IS FUN!
The DRUM CIRCLE is also suitable for teaching staff. It offers education, team bonding, and anti-stress effects.
What do we do?
We gather with the pupils in a circle as a group (max. 35). Each participant gets their own drum, which has its own role (rhythm) in the group according to its sound. Through rhythmic games, I introduce the pupils to the instruments and basic strokes. Then we put together a rhythm. We repeat this so that all participants experience different percussion instruments.
The workshop lasts 1 school hour (grades 1 to 4) or 2 school hours (from grade 5 onwards).
Instruments? I take care of the drums. It will be a colorful array of percussion instruments from all over the world (congas, djembes, …), which participants will play with their hands. If your school has any percussion instruments, please let me know.

Price?
The cost is 6 EUR per pupil (45 minutes) or 8 EUR per pupil (90 minutes) + reduced mileage. The minimum charge is for 20 pupils. I am happy to provide further information upon request.
For pupils in the first triad (grades 1–3), I recommend the musical performance DRUM OUT THE STORY OF THE TREE!
